Definitions

What is support?

Support in RamBase Cloud ERP focuses on ensuring customers can operate the system safely, predictably, and efficiently by helping them understand and use existing functionality. This includes e.g. assistance with role and permission setup, system configurations, and general functional guidance, essentially answering how the system works and helping users navigate features and settings already available in the solution.

Service requests, on the other hand, concern value-added activities that go beyond the scope of standard support. These include custom training, consultant services, customer-specific development work, and other tailored improvements that extend or adapt the solution rather than explain it. While higher-tier agreements include strategic elements and additional services, the fundamental definition of support remains unchanged - service requests continue as separate deliverables with their own processes, expectations, and pricing.

Super users

To ensure high-quality communication and efficient handling of inquiries, RamBase has established a model where only designated super users can create support tickets. Super users are typically individuals with overarching responsibility within their domain, such as production planners, finance personnel, supplier managers, or other process owners, who possess a broad understanding of workflows and system usage. In some organizations, C-level employees may also serve as super users. By channeling requests through these knowledgeable roles, we ensure that inquiries are well-defined, context-rich, and aligned with organizational processes, resulting in faster resolution times and improved support quality.
